30 days of paper trading. Non‑negotiable.
Drumlin is a rule-based trading tool for self-directed Canadian retail traders. Connect Questrade or Interactive Brokers Canada, configure a template, paper-trade for thirty days, then go live with guardrails the server enforces — not the UI.

# strategies/gap-fill.toml strategy = "gap-fill" paper_trade_until = "2026-06-07" # 30 days, server-locked daily_loss_cap_cad = max_concurrent_positions = 2 kill_switch = "armed" # $150 CAD on a $10,000 account = 1.50% per day
Five templates. Every parameter editable. Every one of them locked behind the gate.
Gap-fill, opening-range breakout, VWAP mean reversion, MA crossover, end-of-day square-up. They ship as templates you review and activate — not as recommendations. Each one carries a per-template disclosure baked into the UI before you can edit it.
- · Equities + ETFs only at v1
- · TSX, TSXV, NYSE, NASDAQ
- · Cash accounts, long-only
- · Margin and short-selling on the v2 list

This is a template, not investment advice. Drumlin does not recommend strategies, parameters, or instruments.
No order reaches your broker until the gate has passed.
Broker quotes flow in. The strategy engine evaluates the rule. Paper-mode runs in a shadow simulator with zero broker side-effects. Live mode dispatches only after the gate passes — and every dispatch is checked against the kill switch and the daily CAD loss cap before it leaves the server.
Three steps. The middle one takes thirty days.
Connect your broker
OAuth into Questrade or session-link Interactive Brokers Canada. Drumlin never custodies cash; orders route through your own account.
CAD rails. TSX, TSXV, NYSE, NASDAQ. Cash accounts, long-only at v1.
Pick a template, paper-trade it
Choose one of five default templates. Edit the parameters. Drumlin shadows live quotes for thirty calendar days and tracks simulated PnL — no orders sent.
The gate timer is in the database, not the UI. There is no override.
Go live, with guardrails
After the gate passes, flip live mode on. Your daily CAD loss cap and kill switch are server-enforced. Every fill writes to an ACB-ready trade journal.
Cap breach cancels working orders and blocks new entries until midnight ET.
Borrowing the parts that work. Refusing the parts that don’t.
Like Composer
but Canadian, CAD-native, and the 30-day paper-trade gate is non-negotiable.
Like Passiv
but for active rule-based strategies — not portfolio rebalancing.
Like a TradingView alert
but the rule lives on the server with a kill switch, a loss cap, and an audit log.
Like a paper-trading sandbox
except you cannot skip it. Thirty days. Per strategy. Server-locked.
I built Drumlin because I’m tired of trading tools that protect their own KPIs instead of the trader. The thirty-day paper-trade gate isn’t a tutorial mode you skip; it’s a non-negotiable cool-off period that lives in the database, not the front-end. The kill switch is one click, and you can’t un-click it without a fifteen-minute cooldown. That’s the product.
One plan. Flat CAD monthly. No performance fees, ever.
Single tier. Stripe Tax CA enabled, so GST/HST/PST applies at checkout based on your province. Cancel any time from the customer portal.
