Because that is the product. Every other rule-based trading tool treats simulation as tutorial mode. We treat it as the cooling-off window the discipline depends on. The gate runs server-side per strategy. There is no power-user override and there is not going to be one.

Drumlin runs the strategy against your broker’s live quote feed and writes simulated fills to a shadow ledger inside our database. No orders are sent. You get a realistic feel for how the strategy behaves on real-time data without real-time exposure.

It is a 30-calendar-day timer with a minimum trade-count threshold underneath it. Both have to clear before the live-mode toggle is server-enabled. Weekend days count toward the 30; the trade count only ticks during open sessions.

No. Orders execute through your own broker using your OAuth credentials. We are not a registered dealer. We do not custody cash, securities, or any other client asset. Your funds stay where they are today.

No. Drumlin is software you configure. The five default templates are starting points, not picks. We do not select strategies for you, we do not show you anyone else’s PnL, and we do not publish leaderboards. If you want advice, talk to a registered adviser.

Working orders are cancelled immediately. New entries are blocked until midnight Eastern. We email you a single line summarising the breach. Your strategies remain in place — they just cannot place new orders for the rest of the day.

No, and nobody should. T5008 slips are issued by your broker. What we ship is a CSV trade journal designed to reconcile against the T5008 your broker sends you — with per-symbol Adjusted Cost Base and the 30-day superficial-loss rule applied to flagged rows. Your accountant will know what to do with it.
